How to Plush Your Dragon

  1. Start by assembling the head. Cut out pieces A, B, C, D, E, F, and G.
  2. Line up both A1. Sew along this side.
  3. Next we'll work on the "tentacles". Line up e6 and c6 and sew around that arch. After that, do the same with D5 and C5.
  4. Now that the "tentacles" are attached, it's time to put both C pieces together. Line up the 4 tabs, with the back ofthe G piece near the start of the "tentacles". Make sure the seam is on the inside, but part of the "crest" is sticking out, likne in the picture, then sew along that side.
  5. Create the other four "tentacles" by lining up F7 and B7 and sewing around those arches.
  6. Finish off the head by lining up B3 and C3, and sewing along that side. Make sure you don't attached the "tentacles", and that all the seams are on the inside. Then, attach your now BC to A by lining up the B2 and A2 and sewing along the entire side. You should be done with the head for now, so set it aside for later.
  7. After you've taped the pattern pieces J and K together, cut out pieces JK and V. Attach V to JK by lining the front of V up with J8. Sew along this side to create the back. You should have a nice line of spikes running down the middle.
  8. Cut out L and G, and sew the pieces along thier designated tabs. Make sure to leave a hole inbetween the two Q pieces,( I reccomend below the chest bump). You're going to need it for turning your dragon inside out.
  9. Assemble the wings and fins, (R, S, T). Embroider along the dotted lines after you've turned them inside out. If you do it before, you won't be able to flip them.
  10. Attach P to QL
  11. Now put the body together! Start by lining up your JK piece and your QPL piece. The top of the wings should be placed at the 'shoulder' of JK, (about 2 inches from the top). The triangular fins, (S), should start where the wing ends. U should pick up where S ends, and T should do the same with W. Sew donw these two sides to create the body. Make sure your fins are on the outside when you flip the body inside out!
  12. Attach the eyes to the body now if you haven't already. In this pattern, the eye shape is I, and the iris is H.
  13. Attach the head to the body
  14. Create the legs, (M, N, and O). Attach them to the body.
  15. Stuff your Toothless, and sew the hole we left in Q shut!
